I love to learn. I like to call myself a perpetual student and I find that that fire to learn is what helps me to connect to my students. I became an educator because I want to help students become life-long learners; I want them to discover just how exciting each day can be when you're curious.
I have served as a school librarian and for the past nine years and have worked with students in preschool through twelfth grade. I have worked in both public and private schools, co-ed and single-sex settings, as well as a Hebrew-immersion school. As a librarian, I have worked with both students and teachers to explore all areas of the curriculum. I specialize in elementary and middle school Language Arts, Math, Social Studies and Science, as well as organizational coaching.
My greatest passion lies in helping reluctant learners blossom into inquisitive young people. I bring books to life with voices, characters and props. I turn math problems into tactile learning adventures. I transform the chore of organization into fun game.
I have an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education, as well as Master's degrees in Library & Information Science, and Digital Education Leadership. Along with my teaching and librarian certifications, I am a Google Certified Educator and a BrainPOP Certified Educator.
